As we start 2024, we are looking to improve communication with our members. Our overarching goal is to reduce the frequency with which you receive emails from us, while still ensuring you receive timely information. As a result, you will start to notice some changes to the newsletter and email updates that we send.
Previously, we sent separate types of email notices, sometimes resulting in you receiving more than one email in a day. We will still have categories of information; however, we will now be combining them into joint Member Alerts, which will be sent as needed.
A given Alert may contain information on several topics, such as fraud and crime activity, legislation and regulations, emerging issues or opportunities or other time-sensitive updates. For news that isn’t time-sensitive, we will incorporate it into the next monthly newsletter.
We have consolidated our Training and Events bulletins so that they will be delivered to you each Thursday. Each bulletin will include some general information, features profiling our courses, and the full list of upcoming industry events and training. Please take a few moments each week to review training opportunities for you and your staff.
We want to hear from you. A new communications email address has been set up - comms@mdaalberta.com - to receive your feedback, stories and for advertisers to contribute articles and their monthly ads.
Finally, a reminder that the previous MDA Salary Survey has been replaced with the new CADA Workforce Study. Many members have reached out over the past couple years looking for a copy of the report. This information is only available to those members who participate in the survey and submit their data. I urge you to sign up today to participate in the Study, make your voice heard and contribute to the body of knowledge about today’s automotive workforce.
Good selling.
Gerald.
