The 2023-24 Q2 (July-September) report has been released by AMVIC. A total of 57 inspections were conducted, with mixed results. You will note that there are still a significant number of issues with Sales above Advertised Price. AMVIC issued a consumer bulletin about all-in pricing, which is the law in Alberta. It further advised consumers, “As all-in advertised pricing is the law, all automotive businesses are required to follow the general codes of conduct. These codes of conduct are legal requirements in Alberta.” Ensure you are following the regulations, and if you need assistance or more information, please contact the MDA office.
